3 pounds ground beef
2 T sugar
Large can of tomato soup or 2 regular sized
1 small onion, chopped finely
3 large to medium carrots, chopped and steamed
1 bag of frozen peas, preferably Birds Eye sweet baby peas
3 pounds of potatoes, prepared your way for mashed potatoes
Shredded cheese to taste, preferably cheddar.
Set oven to 350.
Brown the ground beef and onion, drain.
Put meat back in , and add tomato soup and sugar.
Meanwhile, steam the carrots.
Make mashed potatoes to your liking. You may begin this step as beef and carrots are being prepared.
In a large backing dish, layer the beef, carrots, peas (still frozen), and top with mashed potatoes.
Top with shredded cheese and bake for 45 minutes until bubbly.
