1 tsp Absinthe
2 oz Cognac
2 dashes whiskey barrel aged bitters
1 tsp of demerara syrup, add more to taste
Garnish with Luxardo cherry, and orange peel
Add ice into an old fashioned glass with water and let sit for a few minutes.
Discard the water and ice, and add the absinthe into the glass. Coat the glass with the absinthe, rotating slowly as you discard the liquid.
Add Cognac, bitters, syrup, and stir in ice using a mixing glass or shaker. Strain into an old fashioned glass and garnish.
